One technique that is seen to be one of the most effective is mediation. Mediation relaxes your mind easily. This is done by letting your body and mind focus in one thing. You can easily find a peaceful place to sit comfortably. Close your eyes and use your own breathing to pre occupy your mind. You can choose to use sounds, imagery and other things to keep your mind focused. This affords your body to slow down oxygen consumption, regulate heart rate and control the fight or flight response which can cause you to be anxious and at times exhibit symptoms of panic attacks.

You can also try reading some good books, listen to uplifting music, talk to your friends and be honest with what you feel, get into a new hobby or simply playing with your kids and spending time with people dear to you. These stress relaxation techniques though very easy to do can do a lot in managing your stress.
